Nigeria’s Major Problems Are Corruption, Insecurity, Cost Of Governance – Peter Obi

As the 2023 election is fast approaching, one of the prominent presidential candidate from Labour PartyPeter Obi, has listed the major problems Nigeria is battling.

Peter Obi discussion was pinpoint on Friday in an interview with CNN. He said, insecurity must be tackled headlong to achieve sufficient food supplies.

Obi statement below:

“You have to get farmers to go back to farms and ensure that the vast land of the North is cultivated.

“You have to start pulling people out of poverty as quickly as possible.

“You have to reduce, aggressively, the cost of governance and deal with corruption.”

On the importation of refined fuel despite being Africa’s largest oil producer, Obi called for increased private sector participation.

Meanwhile, earlier this morning, Sahara Reporters report that on Friday, foodstuffs bearing Obi’s name, his vice-presidential candidate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, and the logo of his party were seen pasted on bags of rice and groundnut oil with the inscriptions, “Vote Obi/Datti 2023”, “Obi/Datti 2023”, amongst others surfaced on social media platforms.
