Gunmen Attack Senator Uba’s Convoy, Kill Policemen, Others
According to the source, several shots were fired at the Senator’s convoy in Enugwu Ukwu community, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state.
The incident reportedly left an unspecified number of policemen dead, including some persons in the convoy.
It’s said that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah narrowly escaped during the shoot-out by suspected assassins. The source also revealed that he was unharmed.
The Anambra State Police Command also confirmed the night’s attack.
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Anambra reportedly described the incident as unfortunate and sad.
The PPRO said more details about the incident were being gathered and some policemen were dispatched to the area, Enugwu-Uwku to monitor the situation.
Many public figures and social media users have condemned the attack and called for justice.
