Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly picked his top choice striker that he wants to sign in January, according to a report from The Telegraph today.
With the transfer window opening today, the reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph has posted his January transfer report for what every club is looking to do in the next four weeks.
He reiterates that it is a new striker that remains the priority for Chelsea and Pochettino this month, but he also reveals who is Pochettino’s top choice striker.
It may come as no surprise to hear that it is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. But if he wants him, he may well need to wait until the summer.
Law states that Osimhen has recently signed a new Napoli contract and is unlikely to leave before the summer 2024 transfer window.
What will be interesting to see is whether Chelsea try and conduct a pre-deal for Osimhen to join in the summer.
