Chelsea are considering signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
Lautaro Martinez is having another strong season in Serie A and it does not look like that has gone unnoticed.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, who has reported Chelsea‘s interest on his Substack, the Blues believe they have a chance to sign the 26-year-old for a good fee because Inter need to sell some of their best players due to financial problems.
Phillips has also claimed that Mauricio Pochettino thinks that Martinez is one of the best strikers in the world and is a keen admirer.
Martinez stated back in October that he was happy at Inter, but if the Italian club are having financial trouble, then perhaps their talisman could be put on the market.

If Chelsea want to bring in a new centre-forward in January, which does look to be the case, then it is only logical for them to consider Martinez. He is one of the best No.9s in Europe.
As mentioned earlier, the Argentine has really impressed this season, scoring 15 goals in 16 Serie A appearances. In the last two campaigns combined, he netted 42 times, so this is clearly a striker who is prolific.
