Chelsea summer signing admits Pochettino helped his confidence level
Axel Disasi has admitted that Mauricio Pochettino has contributed to him settling in well at Chelsea.
The centre-back moved to Stamford Bridge from AS Monaco over the summer, and has been a regular for the Blues this season. And in a recent chat with French outlet, L’Équipe, he opened up on how Poch’s trust in him has helped the transition.
“He (manager Mauricio Pochettino) gave me the necessary confidence. He didn’t hesitate to put me in (the starting line-up) a week after my arrival,” said Disasi.
“When I was in Monaco, I looked towards a move, so I prepared very well during the summer pre-season.
“The league was also very appealing to me… in the long term I knew I needed to come to a club with a bigger status. I needed to get out of my comfort zone.”
