BREAKING NEWS: Chelsea are expected to face a profit and sustainability charge from the Premier League, from breaches committed under the ownership of Roman Abramovich.

Roman Abramovich has put Chelsea in trouble after what he did few years ago

Chelsea expect to face a profit and sustainability charge from the Premier League — but not for any spending breaches the current ownership group may have committed.

Instead, they await charges for their conduct under former owner Roman Abramovich, Football Insider claims. The sanctions are expected ‘sooner rather than later’, the report says.

Last summer, they were already fined £8.6million by UEFA for historical breaches under the previous ownership. In fact, the sanctions could have been even more serious if Chelsea had not reported those breaches themselves.

Now, the club hopes that they will soften the blow by collaborating with the Premier League as well. Meanwhile, they insist that they have not broken any spending rules after the ownership change.
