Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, has said that Chelsea are still interested in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is one of the names high up on Chelsea’s transfer list, as the Blues are keen on signing a top striker this summer.
It has been confirmed that Victor Osimhen will leave Napoli this summer. However, his release clause is reportedly £113m.
Fabrizio Romano has now said that Chelsea will try to sort out their finances before making a move for Osimhen.
“I think Chelsea will be there for Victor Osimhen, the interest is still there,” Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside.
“There are some crucial financial points to sort out before they can say ‘OK’ and go for him.”
Chelsea currently have troubles balancing the books, after spending £1bn on players since the beginning of the Todd Boehly era.
Reports have it that Chelsea will have to sell players for about £100m in the summer to make sure they are within the Financial Fair Play rules.
