“Not useful for Chelsea” “Sign him now” – Manchester United urged to sign unwanted Chelsea star

Lukaku joined United from Everton in the summer of 2017 for £75million.

He enjoyed an impressive first campaign in United under Jose Mourinho, scoring goals 27 in all competitions.

He slowly drifted out of favour, scoring just 15 times in 45 appearances in his final season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lukaku joined Inter in 2019, enjoying a superb campaign back in Italy that earned him a move back to Chelsea the following year.

That spell also ended in disappointment with the Belgium international spending the last two seasons back in Italy on loan with Inter and Roma this season.

The 30-year-old has rediscovered some form with 18 goals in all competitions but it is not expected to revive his hopes back at Stamford Bridge.

But given Lukaku’s scoring record, Yorke believes signing the Belgian on loan would represent ‘very good business’ for his former club.

“Romelu Lukaku is absolutely still good enough to play for a top-six club,”Yorke told OLBG via Metro.

“I think Man United or Tottenham should take Lukaku on a loan deal and agree to pay a certain amount of his wages.

“As much as people say about Lukaku, he has a very impressive goal scoring record and he doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves.

“If you have a fired-up Lukaku who wants to play for you, he’s a match-winner and a handful for any opponent in the world.”
