Breaking New: Chelsea owner Todd boehly review the replacement of Pochettino after the sacked paper as been prepared immediately after embarrassing final defeat

Chelsea fans demand Todd Boehly sacks Mauricio Pochettino before he leaves Wembley
Mauricio Pochettino’s wait for a trophy in England was extended by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley and the pressure continues to crank up on him at Chelsea

Chelsea fans have urged Todd Boehly to sack Mauricio Pochettino just hours after the Blues’ Carabao Cup final defeat.

The Blues were downed by Liverpool on Sunday afternoon – Virgil van Dijk heading home an extra-time winner. The defeat extended Chelsea’s record to six major cup finals without success, while Pochettino is still waiting for his first trophy on English soil.

Sunday’s clash against Liverpool was arguably their best chance given the injury problems currently impacting Jurgen Klopp’s side. Chelsea fans have since suggested that defeat should see Pochettino play with his job.

One fan wrote: “Poch should be sacked on the spot for losing that btw,” while another said: “Poch shouldn’t get to Cobham before he gets sacked.”

A third supporter also claimed that the Argentine should be axed. They said: “Poch surely sacked before he leaves the stadium & relegates his stock in the future too. Most embarrassing result of his career.”

Another then said that former boss Roman Abramovich would have taken a far more ruthless approach than current owner Boehly. They wrote: “Roman would have sacked Poch at half-time of extra time.”

Pochettino was only appointed in the summer but has endured a difficult campaign. Away from the Blues’ Carabao Cup final defeat, the side have also been poor in the Premier League.

Chelsea have lost 10 out of their 25 games and sit 11th in the table. They look highly unlikely to be in Europe again next season. Pochettino is under contract until next summer, although there is an option to extend his stay by a further season. Speaking after his side’s defeat, he claimed that it will take time to get to the level of opponents Liverpool.

“It’s about to arrive here first and then feel what it means to play for a big trophy,” Pochettino said. “I remember after three or four years, Liverpool lost the Champions League, lost the Europa League, and they believe in the project and in the next season were stronger until they got what they wanted.

Jose mourinho is set to step in to become a Chelsea New Manager,

“That is a good example, Liverpool, if we want to challenge a team like Liverpool, it’s not to be frustrated today because we didn’t get the trophy. It’s about to take the example to keep believing, that is the most important thing.
