BREAKING NEWS: ‘The Mistake Chelsea made was loaning him out and buying Nicholas Jackson a Flop and Nkunku an Injury prone now the can’t even find the Net,
“Why couldn’t he score goals at Chelsea?” One Chelsea legend isn’t convinced the Blues made the right call by loaning out their Best Player.

Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku has posted the latest on his injury recovery to Instagram with the attacker beginning to step up his rehabilitation. The Frenchman, before he had even played a competitive game for the Blues, picked up a significant knee injury in the Blues’ final pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund.

The issue was severe enough to require surgery with early estimates suggesting Nkunku would be out until late 2023 at the very least. Chelsea have endured mixed results without their marquee summer signing but Mauricio Pochettino finally looks to be getting a tune out of his players, following three consecutive wins, despite fresh injury concerns seeming to be appear every week.

Reece James, Benoit Badiashile and Carney Chukwuemeka are all expected to be available for the clash, barring any late setbacks. Despite Nkunku stepping up his work in the gym and also being spotted for the first time kicking a football, the Gunners visiting Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 22 will come far too soon for Nkunku, however, he has posted another positive injury update.

On Instagram, Nkunku reposted a story from @prp.team that showed him working with French personal trainer Jerome Andral who he has worked with for the last few years. In this story, Nkunku was shown doing horizontal pull-ups using a resistance band with his legs balanced on a large ball. The update is captioned “work in progress”, with two construction sign emojis either side of the three-word message.

The latest update is certainly a new exercise seemingly working on his balance and building strength back up in the damaged knee. In recent weeks, Nkunku has been captured lifting weights and putting in the effort on the top half of his body instead. He has also previously put up images of his rehabilitation process with him in a swimming pool.
