REPORT: Former Tottenham Hotspur Player advice Pochettino to hurt Arsenal by making whooping £100M bid to get 24yr key Player signature in January window

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Chelsea’s stance on new signings ahead of the January transfer window. The Blues spent over £350million in the summer – but further additions could arrive in the new year.

Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed a £4billion takeover at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have spent over £1billion on new players. The West London outfit are expected to continue their spending heading into the January transfer window – with a new striker, defender and goalkeeper thought to be under consideration.

The most notable transfer rumour linked with Chelsea has been Ivan Toney. The Brentford striker has attracted interest from the Blues, Arsenal and Tottenham after he changed agents earlier this year.

Toney is currently serving his ban from football and is set to return to Premier League action on January 17. Brentford have set a £60million asking price to let the 27-year-old leave the club.

When asked about Chelsea’s plans for the January transfer window, Pochettino responded: “Football is really dynamic. Maybe we are thinking in a different way two weeks ago or three weeks ago.

“Ready and working with the sporting directors and owners to try to be ready. The moment the transfer window is open, we can see if the team needs, if the squad needs to add some players in the position we are talking, an offensive position.”
