Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf says he already loves Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile.
Leboeuf, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile, of course, all hail from France, and the World Cup winner recently told Chelsea’s official website that he adores the two central defenders because they signed for his former club.
Disasi arrived at Stamford Bridge during the summer and has already made quite an impact. He scored on his debut in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool and has played in every Premier League match since then.
As for Badiashile, the 22-year-old joined Chelsea in January but is yet to feature this term because of injury.
Frank Leboeuf loves Chelsea’s French contingent
On Disasi, Badiashile and Chelsea’s other French players, Leboeuf said: “I had my time. Now it’s up to others. It’s a legacy. If Disasi and Badiashile and the others do their best for the club and bring the club to the top we will love them.
“I already love them because they signed for Chelsea, but I will love them even more!”
When will Benoit Badiashile return from injury to potentially partner Axel Disasi in defence?
We could possibly see Badiashile line up alongside Disasi before the next round of international fixtures hopefully.
According to football.london, Badiashile is in partial team training and is edging closer to a return to action, so maybe Chelsea supporters will get to see him feature in some capacity this month.
There really is no need to rush the France international back, though, as Mauricio Pochettino does have other central defensive options.
Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and Disasi, of course, can all play in the middle of the backline.
Ultimately, then, there could still be a bit of a wait before we get to see Disasi link up with his compatriot Disasi for the first time at Stamford Bridge.
