FUMING football fans reckon this season’s Champions League draw has been “rigged.”

That’s after Manchester City landed RB Leipzig in Europe’s top competition yet again.

The Treble winners, along with Premier League rivals Man United, Arsenal and Newcastle, discovered their group stage fate on Thursday afternoon.

The draw, presented by Reshmin Chowdury and Pedro Pinto in Monaco, saw football icons Joe Cole and Eric Abidal draw the names from the pots.

However, some supporters reckon the draw was fixed from the start.

Many were left annoyed after seeing City land Leipzig for a third time.

Pep Guardiola’s men first faced the Germans in the 2021/22 group stage, winning their first match 6-3 before losing 2-1 away.

City then landed Leipzig in last season’s final 16, drawing the first leg 1-1 before romping to a 7-0 drubbing in the second.

They will now play the Germans twice again before the year is out, with £78million defender Josko Gvardiol set for an immediate reunion with his old side.

City also got Serbian side Red Star Belgrade and Swiss outfit Young Boys in a favourable draw.

And some unhappy fans made claims about the event being “rigged” on social media.

One said: “Of course City get Leipzig, rigged.”

Another declared: “Every single year City and Leipzig? This is rigged.”

One noted: “Seriously, how do City get that group. You cannot tell me the draw isn’t rigged.”

Even Leipzig joked about it, adding: “City. Again. And again. And again…”
