Arsenal injury news: The Gunners will be looking to return to winning ways next weekend against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon

Arsenal’s biggest game of the 2023/24 season awaits them next weekend when Manchester United visit the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have started the new campaign with two wins and a draw following the 2-2 draw with Fulham.

Mikel Arteta’s men weren’t at their best against their London rivals, but were unlucky not to preserve their 100% record. Joao Palhinha’s 87th minute equaliser rescued a point for Fulham after Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah put Arsenal ahead.

Following the game, rumours circulated online insisting that Nketiah had picked up a knee injury. The striker came off the bench and finished the contest in north London before conducting club media duties, but reports had left supporters worried.

However, football.london understands that the Hale Ender is suffering no ill effects after his cameo against the Cottagers, with the gossip wide of the mark.

There was also a boost in Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko. The former Manchester City pair had missed the start of the season due to injury but both came off the bench against Fulham. There is hope that both could start from the off against Man United.

Takehiro Tomiyasu will return from his one-man ban after being sent off against Crystal Palace. The defender served his suspension against Fulham, replaced by Jakub Kiwior at left-back.
Summer signing Jurrien Timber and Mohamed Elneny are Arsenal’s only long-term absentees. Timber sustained an ACL injury on his debut for the club earlier this month whilst Elneny has been sidelined since January.
