According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update, Manchester United will soon complete the signing of Altay Bayindir.

The Red Devils have followed the Turkish goalkeeper for a matter of weeks now in order to provide cover at the goalkeeper position. Andre Onana, signed this summer from Inter Milan, is the undisputed starter for the Reds.

Altay Bayindir Already in England

Romano has reported through his social media handle that the Fenerbahce goalkeeper described as “amazing” is already in England before his imminent move to the Manchester club.

The imminent departure of Dean Henderson to Crystal Palace will leave the Old Trafford-based outfit thin in the goalkeeper position. Hence, they will seemingly look to wrap up the signing of the Turkish international soon.

The transfer market expert reported that the 20-time Premier League champions will pay a fee in the region of £6 million. The shot-stopper has already completed his medical tests a few days ago in Athens ahead of his move, and it is just a matter of completing the final details before the transfer is officially wrapped up.

It appears that all parties are waiting to complete the final steps, with Dean Henderson set to join Crystal Palace.

Activity in the Transfer Market
The Premier League giants also have Benfica goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos on their radar. It is yet to be seen if he was just an alternative to Bayindir or if the club wants to add further depth between the sticks. Ten Hag’s side have already signed Mason Mount from Chelsea and young striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta to bolster their starting lineup.

Romano’s updates regarding the three-time Champions League winner’s transfer activity suggest that solidifying the midfield remains a priority. Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat remains the top priority – but his signing is dependent on the departure of current midfielder Donny van de Beek – who is a target for Real Sociedad.
