Arsenal are well ahead in the race to sign Victor Osimhen compared to Chelsea, with the Gunners offering a much more stable platform.
According to Team Talk, Arsenal could be ahead in the race to sign Victor Osimhen rather than Chelsea. The Gunners are seemingly offering a better and more stable platform than the Blues for the Nigerian to flourish while also being capable of providing him the required wages to move to the Emirates.

Arsenal ahead in the chase for Victor Osimhen
Arsenal are clearly in the market for a new striker and have set sights on some of the notable names available in the window when the summer arrives. Victor Osimhen has been named one of their preferred targets, with the Nigerian set to cost €130 million, which also happens to be his release clause at Napoli.

Napoli stated they would not accept anything less than that figure, meaning any side keen on the striker must pay up or move on from the chase. Chelsea have been doing the legwork for a few months and have had regular scouting missions to watch the striker in action. They last did this when Napoli played against Sassuolo, where Osimhen scored a hattrick.

Arsenal prefers Osimhen as one of their main targets and are currently ahead of Chelsea in the chase for the striker. The Gunners canke a compelling case as a team ready to challenge for significant honours like the Premier League and Champions League, which Chelsea currently lacks.

Moreover, the Gunners are in an excellent position to offer him the required wages and the guarantee to chase some of the best names in the game year after year. The suggestion is that Chelsea may have an unstable atmosphere with their financial insecurity, which may not see them offer wages the striker would demand. It is something Arsenal can do alongside other clubs like PSG.

Osimhen remains a coveted name worldwide, although significant interest has come from the Premier League and PSG. The latter are looking for a big name to replace Kylian Mbappe, while the likes of Chelsea are keen on bringing in a top-notch No.9 to help them challenge some of their rivals. Arsenal have held a long-standing interest in Osimhen, and they are ahead in the race right now.

Journalist Charles Watts insists Edu Gaspar held talks with his agent two years ago. There is a chance the two parties have maintained contact, and there’s no doubt in believing the north Londoners are ahead, considering how improved a team they have been over the last few years and have the right squad to challenge for honours. Such an environment would suit Osimhem, while PSG are also a main rival.
