“Amazing i don’t expect it” – Mauricio Pochettino shares what Todd Boehly did straight after their win against Newcastle

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has now shared what owner Todd Boehly did as soon as their win over Newcastle United had been confirmed last night.

He told Football London that the American was keen to enter the dressing room after the game to congratulate the boss and the rest of his side off the back of a 3-2 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino will have breathed a sigh of relief as his side held on to all three points last night.

However, it was actually one of his changes that made the impact that eventually saw them over the line.

He replaced Raheem Sterling in the second half, who had another performance that did little to convince anyone that he should be starting games anytime soon.

On his place came Mykhailo Mudryk, who had yet to be rewarded with any real minutes since his player of the match display against Leeds.

What Todd Boehly did after Chelsea win last night
He showed all the promise we have heard about him when he weaved through the Newcastle defence and round the goalkeeper to score what proved to be the winning goal

Boehly and co were in attendance for the win last night, with it becoming a rarer sight to see the American at games in comparison to last season.

Pochettino has now shared how he approached him and the dressing room after the game.

He said: “He came with his son, Behdad [Eghbali], all the owners were there [in the dressing room]. It was a nice chat, only a few minutes because I need to come for the interview and press conference. The relationship is good.”

It has previously been reported that there is a divide on the board over what is the best port of call for the Blues as far as the manager goes.

Given the facts that reports are linking them to multiple managers across Europe, it would suggest things are not all good at Stamford Bridge right now.
