I’m happy with the results-we play a very good and technic game, but I’m not happy with the few player on the pitch in the first half because there error bring on the pressure on us….
Pochettino reveal that he is not impressed with the 25-y-old boy in the first half

Mauricio Pochettino has provided an update on Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill after both players were taken off during Chelsea’s defeat against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie at Stamford Bridge. The Blues’ only realistic chance of silverware this season lies in the FA Cup which begins next month with a third round clash against Preston.

Sky Sports claimed at the time of Fernandez’s substitution that it was due to the 22-year-old feeling unwell. However, moments before his exit from the game he was spotted bent over addressing his thigh – raising concerns he had sustained a muscle injury.

Fernandez walked straight down the tunnel after being withdrawn from the action. It’s unclear how long the 22-year-old will be out for with Chelsea set to face Wolves at Molineux on Sunday afternoon.

The Argentine international did not start against Sheffield United last weekend but did feature as a second half substitute for Chelsea as they picked up a 2-0 win against the Blades. As for Colwill, the defender was replaced at half-time after appearing to suffer a knock during the first 45 minutes.

Now, Pochettino has offered an update on the Chelsea duo after they were withdrawn in the first half against Eddie Howe’s side, sparking concerns over their fitness. Speaking after the game, Pochettino said: “He felt sick and he didn’t feel well.

He asked to go out but he felt unwell, we hope it’s not a big issue,” Pochettino added. When asked about Colwill’s fitness, the Chelsea boss continued: “That was more tactic but he was a little tired at the end of first half.

“He’s playing a lot of games. We wanted to use Malo, who is more offensive. Levi’s going to be OK for the next game.”
