“I called him to congratulate him, he’s a player I really love his attitude and commitments,” Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham said of Chelsea man, who he really love to play with him

Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen has admitted it is “annoying” to see Jude Bellingham’s strong start at Real Madrid.

The former Chelsea man is now part of the Barca quad that last season won La Liga under the management of club legend Xavi. But the strong start of Bellingham, playing for rivals Real, has concerned Christensen.

While on international duty for Denmark, Christensen said: “It’s annoying when you sit down and look at the results he’s getting. He’s been scoring in the last few games, I don’t know in how many games already.

“He’s conquered La Liga. Real Madrid have brought in a really good player.”

Bellingham has ten goals in ten matches across La Liga and the Champions League since his summer move from Borussia Dortmund. He has become a key figure for Carlo Ancelotti and Los Blancos, who currently lead the domestic table by two points.

He joined Dortmund as a 17-year-old from Birmingham City for a fee in the region of £25 million. His talents then caught the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs and the 20-year-old completed an £86 million move to the Bernabeu in the summer, which could rise to £113m.

Bellingham has also made a name for himself on the international stage with England. He played a key role during the Qatar World Cup and starred in the 3-1 friendly victory over Scotland in the last international break.

Christensen has won trophies at Barcelona and at Chelsea when he was in England. The 27-year-old joined the Blues on a free transfer after leaving Brøndby in 2012.

Christensen made over 161 appearances for Chelsea in an eight-year spell at the club which came to an end last year, when he was released before joining Barcelona. He penned a four-year deal with the Catalan giants, with his buyout clause set at around £430million.
