BREAKING NEWS: We are ready,”it’s not an easy job for us, we are the player’s and that’s our job we have to take the responsibility of everything on the pitch” we have to play and work very hard to bring back the victory to Emirates, I know the squad are capable” but the couch need to do 2 things before the game
Gabriel Martinelli has taken to social media to send a message following his goal in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal came from behind on two occasions to secure a valuable Premier League point against their London rivals, despite being down to 10 men for over 60 minutes of the match.
David Luiz returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time since completing a deadline day move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but had a night to forget after seeing red and giving away a penalty for bringing down Tammy Abraham after Shkodran Mustafi’s misplaced back pass.
Jorginho made no mistake from the spot to put the Blues ahead and make it a mountain to climb for Mikel Arteta’s men.
However, after a lot of Chelsea pressure, Gabriel Martinelli broke from a Blues corner and took advantage of a slip from N’Golo Kante to bear down on the goal and slot past Kepa Arrizabalaga to draw the Gunners level for the first time.
Having got themselves back into the game once, Arsenal heads could have easily dropped after Cesar Azpilicueta turned in a corner with just six minutes of normal time left to play.
But they once again found an equaliser thanks to Hector Bellerin’s left foot just three minutes later.
Martinelli’s goal was his second in two games, and his 10th in all competitions so far this season. After the game, he took to social media to give his two word reaction.
“Great teamwork,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Arsenal are back in action on Monday when they take on fellow Premier League side Bournemouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup
It will be the third and final game where club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be unavailable for selection due to suspension.
Martinelli’s goals in the last two games ensure that the striker’s absence has not been felt too much at the Emirates Stadium.
