BREAKING NEWS: “They think i faked injury because I’m scared of Martneilli, but I’m not, and i can NEVER even be afraid of playing against Arsenal- Reeces James breaks the silence after forced himself to return to Chelsea’s training ahead of Arsenal clash this weekend

Chelsea captain Reece James has hinted that he is ready to return to action against Arsenal with a three-word message on Instagram. football.london understands that it’s currently ‘too early’ to determine whether or not he’ll be fit enough to face Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

The England international served his one-match ban against Burnley last time out despite not being fit enough to play. James is progressing well with his rehabilitation programme but the Blues are yet to make a final decision, football.london understood last week.

However, the Chelsea captain has been spotted in training with the rest of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad this week ahead of the clash against Arsenal on Saturday. This suggests that James is in contention to face the Gunners but it remains to be seen whether Pochettino will throw him straight back into action after such a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Malo Gusto is available after serving his three-match suspension following his red card against Aston Villa. James’ return to fitness is a huge boost for Chelsea given his influence at both ends of the pitch and now he has issued a warning to the Gunners ahead of their clash on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

James posted a picture of himself in Chelsea training, along with the caption: “Against all odds.” His post comes after reports this week suggested he could miss the game against the Gunners after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hamstring problem.

However, the Chelsea captain appears to have hinted that he will be available as he looks to build up his sharpness in training. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez were not involved in training but arrived back at Cobham after playing in South America during the international break.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah will be unavailable to face Arsenal this weekend after both suffering knocks this week.
