Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato has admitted he would love to join Arsenal in the future, just like Jurrien Timber did this summer.

The defender has been speaking to ELF Voetbal about his career so far and where it might take him, including to the Premier League.

That’s something that’s far in the future for the 17-year-old, who is yet to really establish himself for the Dutch side but has played 90 minutes in all of their games so far this season.

He’s the latest in a long line of youngsters to be developed by the Dutch club for the first team, with that very much a mantra they focus and succeed on
On Numerous players down the years have come through the club’s youth ranks to star in the first team before making big moves elsewhere, sometimes to the Premier League.
The latest to make that switch was Jurrien Timber, who had spent seven years at Ajax from 2014 to 2023, making 121 appearances for the club as well as over 100 for their various youth sides, before moving to Arsenal in a €40m deal this summer.

That’s a transfer Hato would like to repeat if he could, admitting a switch to the Premier League is the dream.

“Unfortunately, he was seriously injured in his first Premier League game for Arsenal, but he is still young and has a bright future ahead of him,” he said.

“In any case, the move to Arsenal was a wonderful one for him.

“It is also my dream to one day make such a transfer, but I realise that I still have a very long way to go.”
