Arsenal are looking to complete a number of outgoing deals before the summer transfer window closes – and it may open the door for yet another signing at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal are set to complete two deals in the coming days with Folarun Balogun and Kieran Tierney on the verge of leaving the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are focusing on raising funds before deadline day by selling fringe players with the possibility of bringing in one or two more signings.

Balogun and Tierney are nearing exits from Arsenal, football.london understands. Balogun is closing in on a £38.6million (€45million) move to Monaco who are expected to formalise a bid sooner rather than later.

The French outfit had a bid for the USMNT forward turned down earlier this summer which was believed to be in the region of £34million (€40million). Balogun still has interest from Fulham, Chelsea and West Ham, but none of the trio have made a formal offer to sign the 22-year-old – so far.

Tierney meanwhile is set to complete a loan move to Real Sociedad. Mikel Arteta has regularly insisted that the Scottish international is still part of his plans despite leaving him out of both of Arsenal’s Premier League matchday squads so far this season.

Tierney, however, would like to secure regular game time and Champions League football – both of which Sociedad can offer. It is understood that the Spanish side will cover 100 per cent of the Scotland international’s wages which are reported to be above £100,000 per week.

Tierney’s exit is likely to be followed by a permanent departure for Nuno Tavares – who is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest and Lazio. With both defenders set to leave the Gunners, it will further weaken Mikel Arteta’s options at full-back.

However, it seems as though the Spaniard will not be able to sign Ivan Fresneda. The young Spanish defender is close to agreeing a £8.5million move to Sporting CP, according to A Bola.

The report states: “The 18-year-old right-back from Real Valladolid has given the green light to join Ruben Amorim’s project and has a five-year contract on the table. A €10million (£8.5m) deal has been agreed.”

football.london reported back in January that Arsenal held an interest in Fresneda – who can play on either side of the defence – but no formal approach was made. Barcelona were interested in signing the 18-year-old, but are now instead focusing on signing Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo – who has also been linked with Arsenal.
