Arsenal have had a stellar transfer window to this point. They have signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea and await the announcements for their latest signings, Declan Rice from West Ham United and Jurrien Timber from Ajax.

These three deals have taken Mikel Arteta’s spending this summer to £200m, a value which has been made achievable through their qualification for the Champions League. In previous seasons, this spending would have been completely out of the question.

But still, there is work to do. Mikel Arteta is a man who is often happy but NEVER satisfied. He expects nothing but perfection from his team and although they came close last season, towards the end it proved many changes needed to be made to their squad, through the form of depth.

So, there are still some moves expected in the transfer window by Arsenal. It is unanimously agreed upon that the next statement of intent should be to sign a right-winger. No, not to replace Bukayo Saka, but to cover him in the event of injury, suspension or rest.

Mikel Arteta eyes three right-wingers for Arsenal

According to 90min, Mikel Arteta is likely to eye Barcelona duo Raphinha (who they originally tried to sign before he joined Barca) and Ferran Torres. Furthermore, according to the Daily Mail, Michael Olise is also wanted by Arsenal. However, signing Olise would prove more difficult since game time is a priority to him for the sake of his development.

There is still plenty of time remaining in the transfer window. Hopefully within the next decade, the deals for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber will be announced. Or at least while I’m alive. Then, when that’s finally done, Arteta can focus on bringing in a new right winger to sufficiently bolster his squad options for next season.

Who do you think Arsenal should sign next?
