A report has detailed what Kylian Mbappe hopes to earn at his next club when leaving Paris Saint-Germain, with Arsenal recently joining the hunt and a Real Madrid switch now in doubt.

Mbappe has just had another very successful season, scoring 41 goals in 43 matches for PSG across all competitions. That incredible form helped PSG win another Ligue 1 title as well as the French super cup.

The attacker also helped fire France to the World Cup final in Qatar, as well as bagging a hat-trick in the showpiece event. Ultimately though, France were on the losing side as Lionel Messi and Argentina emerged victorious.

Mbappe’s future at club level is unclear after he revealed he would not be activating the option to extend his contract to 2025. As his current deal with PSG expires next year, the French giants must now either organise a completely new contract or sell him this summer. Otherwise, they risk losing one of the best players in the world on a free transfer.

Real Madrid are widely viewed as Mbappe’s main suitors. Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is a huge fan of him and believes he can become a brilliant replacement for Karim Benzema.

Surprisingly, Arsenal recently joined Madrid in the hunt for the 24-year-old. As per Football Transfers, the Gunners are considering an ambitious approach to try and bring him to the Premier League.

And Spanish newspaper Marca have now provided some insight into how much Mbappe might cost. They claim he is demanding a whopping €240million (£206m) to join his next club.

That follows previous reports claiming Mbappe wants to be paid an eye-watering £893,000 a week.

Big update on Kylian Mbappe future

Mbappe’s demands are putting a summer move in serious jeopardy. The report explains how Madrid have no chance of being able to afford such money.

And while Arsenal have gone on a big spending spree this summer, they will not be able to afford Mbappe’s colossal contract either.

As such, it looks like the 2018 World Cup winner will have to seriously lower his expectations if he is to find a suitable club when departing PSG.

Marca add that Madrid do not want to move for Mbappe this year as they want him to run down his PSG deal before signing him on a free next year.

Wherever Mbappe goes, he will undoubtedly continue his stunning scoring record for them. At PSG he has proven himself to be one of the most effective strikers on the planet. Not only can he finish chances, but he can also create them for himself, too

It would be brilliant for the Prem if Arsenal managed to win the race for Mbappe, although their English rivals would not like such a proposition. But it is very hard to see Mbappe joining any club other than Madrid. Perez is determined to sign him, while Mbappe idolised Cristiano Ronaldo during his time at the Bernabeu.
