Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea forward Kai Havertz wants to play for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The Italian journalist has claimed on Twitter that Kai Havertz has told Chelsea that he wants to play for Arsenal and wants to join Mikel Arteta’s side in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, has agreed personal terms with the Gunners.

Romano has added that Arsenal plan to submit a new bid for Havertz, having had their initial bid turned down by Chelsea.

Kai Havertz from Chelsea to Arsenal looking likely now

In our opinion, based on Fabrizio Romano’s latest tweet, it does appear likely now that Arsenal will be able to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

If the forward himself is keen on a move to the North London club, then it is very likely that all three parties will come to an agreement.

Now, of course, Arsenal will have to make a deal with Chelsea, who are reportedly asking for as much as £70 million in transfer fees for the forward.

Now, it remains to be seen if Arsenal do pay that much for Havertz.

We believe that the two London clubs will eventually come to a compromise and perhaps do a deal for £60 million to £65 million.
