Buhari Promised Us The Best Election, Nominating APC Members As INEC Officials Is Wrong – Fred Nzeako – A coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) alleged that some of the people President Muhammadu Buhari nominated as INEC Commissioners are card-carrying members of the All Progressive Congress (APC). The group said such nomination is partisan.
Reacting to this, the columnist, Reuben Abati received Fred Nzeako at Arise News during the Special Edition of This Day Live. Fred Nzeako said Nigerians were happy when Buhari revealed that he will be neutral in the 2023 presidential election, and that since the President promised Nigerians to give them the best election next year, he shouldn’t have nominated APC members for appointment as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).

Fred Nzeako said Buhari’s promise to Nigerians should start by first giving us the best Electoral Management Body, and that for fairness to have its way, Resident Electoral Commissioners shouldn’t be a card-carrying member of any political party.
