There was commotion at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Abuja on Wednesday when a parcel containing $75,000 disappeared into thin air.

Eyewitness reports reveal that the sum got missing as party members struggled to enter through the main gate as the sale of nomination forms was ongoing.

Canopies were setup in the premises for the exercise due to ongoing renovations in the secretariat building.

It was established, however, that the missing money was in no way connected to funds from the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.

Aspirants are expected to make deposits in the designated account numbers before proceeding to get their forms.

“It’s actually $75,000. You know there was a struggle at the gate when aspirants and supporters were trying to get in. When the parcel of money dropped, it went missing in a flash. By the time security operatives were alerted, the thief had vanished with the envelope,”, an eyewitness revealed.

It’s currently unclear if the matter has been reported to the police for further investigation.
