Bolajoko Fadipe, a former legislative aide and Personal Assistant (PA) to a former Chairperson, House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Abike Dabiri-Erewa during the 7th National Assembly, is dead.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Fadipe, the founder of FoodClique Support Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that strove to end hunger in Nigeria, died on the 22nd April, 2022.

In March 2020, FoodClique Support Initiative fed over five thousand residents of Yewa North Local Government Area in Ogun State during the nationwide lockdown orchestrated by Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This newspaper cannot ascertain the actual cause of Fadipe’s death.

He was buried this morning (Monday) at Atan Cementary, University Road, Yaba in Lagos State.

Messages of condolence have poured in.

Reacting to Fadipe’s demise, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Ikorodu Branch prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

“We are saddened by the news of Bolajoko Fadipe’s passing. We are greatly inspired by his desire to end hunger and exemplary passion for the retirees.

“Food Clique which he founded partnered with NUT Ikorodu in 2019/2020 and gave food boxes to Retired Teachers.

“He was truly committed to serving others and making life easier for the less privileged. Such a kind-hearted man shouldn’t have died but God knows it all

“NUT Ikorodu branch will forever be grateful to you (CEO) and the food clique for bringing succour to our members. Adieu,” NUT said in a statement.

In a similar vein, broadcaster Tolu Badejo wrote on Facebook: “Farewell Bolajoko Diosamame Fadipe, a true champion of the hungry. A passionate social worker. An epitome of the Christ-like nature. It truly is not how long but how well. You have run a good race and your work and impact will live on. I praise God for blessing your family, our communities and this nation with a true Hero. Rest well dear brother!”
