Manchester United earned a hard fought victory against Wolves to kick start their new Premier League campaign last night.

The Red Devils still need to improve the squad and the name of Benjamin Pavard remains heavily linked with them.

Via Sport reporter, Jan Aage Fjortoft, was at Old Trafford to cover the game versus the Molineux outfit and yesterday, he mentioned that Pavard has agreed wages to sign for Man Utd.

The former Norwegian forward wrote on the X:

“Pavard has told Bayern he wants to leave. He has agreed his wages with Manchester United, but the two clubs have not agreed a fee”

As per Bild, the 27-year-old French international has made it clear to the Bavarians he wants to join Man Utd.

The renowned German media outlet claim Erik ten Hag’s team are ready to spend £25million (29 million euros) for the player, whose contract at the Allianz will expire in less than a year.

However, after failure to lure Walker, Bayern Munich would not like to lose Pavard but may offload him if they get a minimum fee of £38.7million (45 million euros).

It is stated that further talks are expected to take place this week and the two clubs will have to shorten the current gap of 20 million euros as far as the transfer fee is concerned.
