Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun scored his first goal for the United States during their Nations League final win over Canada last night.
The Gunners graduate made his international debut against Mexico earlier in the week, but was unable to find the back of the net.
However, the 21-year-old capitalised on his chance against Canada, scoring USA’s second goal in the 34th minute.
Balogun was put through on goal by Gio Reyna, and he scored with a first-time shot to beat the goalkeeper.
Aside from his strike, the youngster missed another big chance, but he should learn from the experience.
In 76 minutes, Balogun had 26 touches, winning 100 per cent of his dribbles alongside two take-ons.
Arsenal have a big decision to make over Balogun this summer after his superb loan stint with Reims.
The striker managed 22 goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit alongside three assists.
With Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah ahead of him in the pecking order, he could be sold.
Of course, the Gunners won’t allow him to leave on the cheap and will be eyeing a premium fee.
In our view, they should negotiate a buy-back clause or first-option to re-sign Balogun in future.
Balogun could develop into a potent goalscorer with guaranteed first-team football elsewhere.

Aside from Balogun, the likes of Granit Xhaka, Nuno Tavares and Rob Holding could leave.
