Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and his Loyalists have finally announced their withdrawal from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, The decision was taken during an emergency meeting held in Port-Hacourt, Rivers State Capital on Wednesday Morning.
PDP Chieftain present at the Meeting include Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; Ex-Governor of Ekiti State, Plateau and Gombe States, Ayodele Fayose, Jonah Jang and Ibrahim Dankwambo; South-South PDP Zonal Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih; Ex-Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, Chief Bode George among others. 

Wike who was recently appointed as Member of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council vowed not to participate in Atiku’s Campaign unless the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu resign from Office to pave way for a Southerner to succeed him. 

Its no longer a news that Wike and his Loyalists have been aggrieved aftermath of the PDP Presidential Primary. The Group Insisted that the North cannot produce both PDP Presidential Candidate and National Chairman at the same time.
