Nigeria’s Modern History Will Never Be Complete Without The Late Queen Elizabeth II – President Buhari – The late Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday, September 8, has received tributes and eulogies from President Muhammadu of Nigeria and other international leaders.
In a statement through his media adviser, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari stated that : “My family and I, along with the more than 200 million Nigerians, were deeply saddened to learn of the Queen’s passing and the conclusion of her extraordinary and beautiful 70-year reign. Ninety percent of the people in our country knew about Her Late Majesty, the only British Sovereign.
Quoting also from part of his words, he Stated further that “Queen Elizabeth II, a towering global figure and a superb leader, will never be forgotten in the history of contemporary Nigeria. She committed her entire life to improving her country, the Commonwealth, and the entire world.
As we join the entire world in grieving her passing, our thoughts and profound sympathies are with the Royal Family, the citizens of the United Kingdom, and the entire Commonwealth.
