Many people have been feared dead and several houses and shops burnt after a petrol tanker fell and later exploded around Ajegunle Bus-Stop along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway at about 4am on Friday.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that several residents scooping fuel gushing into the drainage were caught up in the inferno.
Media reports indicate that between 2019 and 2021, Nigeria experienced severe fire incidents, leading to 79 deaths out of 68 fires recorded in 18 months.
