The Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, burst into tears after receiving his expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilaro, Ogun State.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to sources within Yayi’s camp, his supporters bought and presented his nomination form today, and the 52-year-old got emotional and shed tears. The APC had fixed N20 million for its senatorial form.

It would be recalled that Yayi switched political base from Lagos to Ogun State, where he would be contesting for Ogun West Senate seat in 2023.

The Senator explained that his decision to contest for Ogun West Senator had not contravened either the Nigerian constitution or that of his party, the APC.

Already, the likes of Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade and incumbent Senator Tolu Odebiyi as aspirants have also indicated their interest in the Ogun West Senate seat..
