In Zamfara, Bandits Kidnap Students, FRSC Employees, And Others

On Tuesday evening, bandits terrorized Zamfara State by kidnapping one student along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

According to a press statement signed by Abdul Gusau Polytechnic’s Head of Public Relations, Comrade Aliyu Damri, the bandits kidnapped the student and many others while blocking the roadway between Kurmin Kare and Katari in the Kachia Local Government Area of the State.

He went on to explain that the attack took place at 4 p.m., with several commercial and private automobiles plying the roadway, and that the terrorists abducted around 16 persons.

“Among those kidnapped were children, traders, and civil servants. Mallam Sanusi Halilu, the students’ affairs officer at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic in Talata Mafara, and Mallam Tukur, a staff member at LGEA Bakura, Mallam Sanusi Halilu, and Mallam Lawali Tukur are among them.

“Mallam Aliyu Atiku, the Deputy Registrar of the Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, is one of the others. Bakura and Mallam Sanusi Sokoto, a member of the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Sokoto State Command, were on their way to Abuja for a pre-NYSC mobilization workshop, he added.
