Crisis: The Reason Why Atiku Abubakar Left The PDP In 2015 Was Because Of A Breach In Power Rotation – Group – Vanguard Newspaper Online reported this night that a group called The Nigerian Agenda for Inclusion issued a statement yesterday in response to the present turmoil in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In a statement, the group argued that the current leadership of the People’s Democratic Party is not as fair to the southern region as the party’s original founders were.

According to the faction, Atiku Abubakar and other politicians defected from the Peoples Democratic Party in the run-up to the 2015 general election because they believed the party’s power rotation had been violated when former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, a southerner, ran for reelection rather than a northerner.

According to the organization, the PDP’s loss to the All Progressives Congress’s candidate for president in 2015 was due to a failure to properly rotate power, and they are not anticipating the same party to make the same error in the upcoming presidential election.
