Buhari’s Poor Performance May Affect Bola Tinubu’s Chances In 2023 – MBF

The Middle Belt Forum, on Friday, 16th September 2022, said that the National Leader and presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu, may find it very difficult to convince the citizens of the country to vote for him during the forthcoming presidential general election in 2023, due to the poor performance of President Muhammadu Buhari under APC.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari during his visit to inaugurate projects in Imo State, had boasted that his administration had done “extremely well” considering the little available resources when he became the country’s President in 2015, stressing that he deserved appreciations from the citizens.

How the President of Middle Belt Forum, Dr Bitrus Pogu, who reacted to Buhari’s statement in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH correspondent on Saturday (today), described it as “laughable and ill-informed”, stating that it seemed like Buhari might have “lost touch with the reality of the situation of the nation” for saying he has done “extremely well”. He said that President Buhari’s poor performance has dented the image of the ruling party (APC) and reduced Bola Tinubu’s chances of clinching the presidential position in 2023.
