When APC will Launch her Campaign
Festus Keyamo (SAN), the spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), revealed some information from the three-hour meeting, stating that the ruling party has decided on the area where it will launch its campaigning for the 2023 elections.
He claims that the party has not decided on a certain day to launch the election since it is also keeping an eye on President Muhammadu Buhari’s itinerary.
This online media is aware that President Buhari is the campaign council’s chairman.
“You are aware that the presidential journal plays a role in the organisation of our campaign.
“I have said that our campaign will not be like others that people can kick into motion like miniature cars. It is driving a 50-ton tanker along a roadway, and as soon as we get there, it will be moving.
“Since Mr. President is the Campaign Council’s chairman, we will take his schedule into account when determining the date.
But we have all pretty much decided to start walking again soon. We have also decided on the area where we will start, although I will not announce that right away.
We also concur on all the fundamental problems. Shortly after the meeting, Keyamo was quoted as saying, “We just want to carry along the leader of the party including Mr. President, before we hit the street.
The APC spokesperson also stressed that the entire party is unified and working together toward a same goal. Keyamo claimed that Tinubu gave the party a draught manifesto.
Keyamo continued, referring to Tinubu, “Our candidate is not the type who acts on his own. He keeps everyone moving. He gave the manifesto draught to all the interested parties to review. And guess what? That draught received more than 90% of the stakeholders’ approval.
He refused to elaborate further on the contents of the manifesto, stating that Tinubu would be the one to deliver it to Nigerians.
“We are not going to take the content away from our candidate, hence we are unable to provide it to you. At a specific time and place, he will stand in front of Nigerians.
A small committee has been formed and given the task of distilling the manifesto documents’ key points into a message that can be easily understood by market vendors and street vendors alike.
The SAN continued, “We do not want to give Nigerians a manifesto with a high complex text that they cannot grasp in simple words.
