BREAKING NEWS: VERY SAD NEWS AS Chelsea Star has been Suspended from entering the dressing Room and won’t play the match against Brighton this weekend.

That suit him, he needs more training.

Todd Boehly was spotted marching down the tunnel at Stamford Bridge and into the home dressing room following Chelsea’s defeat to Brighton. The American billionaire decided to replace Graham Potter with Frank Lampard on an interim basis earlier this month, but the Blues are yet to show any sign of improvement.

As Chelsea fans grow impatient, Boehly is under immense pressure to appoint the perfect boss at the end of the season. Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique and Zinedine Zidane have all been heavily linked with filling the vacancy at Stamford Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti have also been name-checked in relation to the position, though the latter has recently ruled himself out. Until a decision is made, the Blues co-owner can only hope that Lampard lays a solid foundation for his successor.

It remains to be seen why Boehly visited the coaching staff and players in the changing rooms or what was said, but his presence alone will have stressed the severity of Chelsea’s situation. Speaking to the press after the defeat to Brighton, Lampard was quizzed on how he intends to improve the Blues’ performances.

“I don’t think it’s for me to talk about where it’s come from, it’s for me to try and get to the bottom of it quickly and change it,” said the 44-year-old. “We haven’t got training time, I feel like we need training time but we don’t have training time.

The response has to be what we see on the pitch, particularly Tuesday coming. Maybe after Tuesday we have a little breather before Brentford.

“Things that are a must in a performance for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, against Brighton who can play, sprints, recovery runs and getting up to people and recovering. Then when you’ve get the ball to stick to ideas that you want to stick to.

“We came away from that today and the capacity wasn’t there today. It’s one for me to get into because it’s my job to, I’m here for this period. It’s my job to get as many, or as much improvement as I can. From that performance today, we certainly have work to do.”
