Why southeast politicians won’t support Biafra – Simon Ekpa
Simon Ekpa, a self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday said southeast politicians will not support the Biafra agitation because they are “corrupt”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that separatist sentiment has not washed away since the Civil War ended in Nigeria in 1970. And in recent years, the pro-Biafra movement has seen some resurgence.
Diaspora-based Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group, is the most visible face of the movement. He is being held by Nigerian authorities for treasonable felony charges.
“You must understand that the corrupt politicians are the last people that will support Biafra, because they are corrupt and scared of the killers Fulani government, they will support Biafra at the last hour after we’ve taking all the bullet coming from both the government and them,” Ekpa wrote on his known Twitter handle.
Like Kanu, Ekpa is based abroad, Finland to be precise, and has aggressively used social media to propagate the Biafra agenda.
