Earlier today, I informed the general public of cows invasion of my farm, and in the exercise of my constitutional rights of chasing the cows away from my farm, the owners of the cows and Hausa Community in Akwa Ibom State returned with Army to Arrest me on why I chased the cows away.

As such, Cows has no right moving around people’s farms in Akwa Ibom State.
I escaped immediately I sighted the Army and Hausa Community so as to reach out to the appropriate quarters.
Two of my staff were harassed by the Army Personnel.
Having contacted some prominent people in the state and the DPO of Itam Police station, I immediately contacted the Headquarters, 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army. And the Military Police Unit of the Army stepped into the matter, but to my surprise, the Army officers who came to effect my arrest denied coming to my farm.
The matter is now with the Military Police Unit, Headquarters 2 Brigade Nigerian Army and the overzealous Army Personnel are likely to be punished for the illegal duty they carried out just to please the cow owners.
I sincerely thank all those that responded to my calls.
I hereby appeal to Gov. Udom Emmanuel to enforce the Open Grazing bill that he signed into Law for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people
I am safe, my staff are safe and Antia’s Farm is safe.
